Chapter Three “Becoming a Chain Breaker”:
In the eyes of the Lord, we
are born into sin. The only thing we can do is choose how we intend to handle
that sin. We can choose to follow the sinful paths of our father and
grandfather or we can seek to make a righteous change in the eyes of the Lord.
Regardless of the sins before us, the lies told to us or the bitterness that
may have been bestowed upon us, we must seek truth faith to God and his plan
for us. We must repent our sins, forgive those that have wronged us, seek the
truth in lieu of believing the spiritual lies, break the bad traditions and set
new ones that encourage spiritual growth, seek guidance through prayer and most
importantly dedicate our families to God.
Scripture: “Jesus
said, “If you hold my teaching, you are really my disciples. Then you will know
the truth, and the truth will set you free.”” (John 8:31-32 NIV)
Pray: Dear
Lord, Please forgive me for I am new at this. I know that I have sinned quite
often in my life and I ask that you forgive me for my sins. I see to forgive
those that have not had the best intentions for my well-being and that they
deserve my true and eternal forgiveness because I am not to be the judge. You
Lord are the only person that can judge those that have wronged others. Please
see my family as a dedication to what you provide us and to use us as your
faithful servants. I will seek Your words of Wisdom through Scripture as I
break through the lies that have been given. I seek to start new spiritual
traditions in Your name. Ahem.
