Chapter 9 “Resolve to Fight for Justice”:
So many times our society
turns their back on what we know is the right thing to do. Why is that? Our
society has become afraid of confrontation because such confrontation may
result in the loss of our own life. The sad thing is that our society needs to
learn that we can still put up a fight without having a confrontation. We
simply must understand that we must take the necessary steps to help fight the
evil in our society. As a former Military Police Officer and someone with a
Criminal Justice background, I know that my role is to be observant to things
around me. While I know that a confrontation is the last thing that I want, especially
when I am with my family, I know that there are other ways that I can fight
evil. I know that I have a voice and the ability to get my message that I am
against evil through my ability to write about it. It does not take
confrontation to fight evil but it does take the WILLINGNESS to put up a fight
to seek the justice that is deserved in the eyes of God.
Earlier tonight, I read a blog about a family that has Resolved to Fight for Justice by taking in a foster child. Reading their story only reaffirms my belief that we need more than ever to fight for justice by taking a stand no matter how small to protect the innocent young soles in this world. May God Bless this family!
Scripture: “He has showed you, O man, what is good. And
what does the Lord require of you? To act justly and to love mercy and to walk
humbly with your God” (Micah 6:8 NIV)
