Chapter 8 “Resolve to Live with Honor”:
How you are raised may be the
way you will live and raise your children. Growing up, I did not have the
benefit or desire to learn God’s word. It wasn’t until I met my wife that I
realized a deep need and desire to understand God’s role in my life. Through
our children, I see how important to not only teach the word of God but to also
fear God. Yes there is a need to fear God because He is our ultimate Judge! He
holds our very life in his hands. He knows when our life will end and He knows
everything we do in our life. For this, we must resolve to live with honor and
integrity. When we do stuff, we should consider this very question: Would God
approve of this choice I am about to make? God knows that we are not nor will
we ever be perfect and we should seek His forgiveness when we sin.
Scripture: “The
conclusion, when all has been heard, is: fear God and keep His commandments, because
this applies to every person. For God will bring every act to judgment,
everything which is hidden, whether it is good or evil.” (Ecclesiastes
12:13-14)
