Chapter 12: Resolve to Reconcile Your Past
There is no easy way to say
it or put it! We have all wronged someone at some time in our life! Regardless
of who we have wronged, we need to make every effort to make it right with that
person and let God handle the rest. Some will accept our sincere apology while
others will not. It is our job and duty to reconcile the past and try to start
with a fresh slate. Who knows? Your attempt right a wrong might prove to open
an olive branch of change that your past might even need for themselves.
Scripture: “Never
pay back evil for evil to anyone. Respect what is right in the sight of all
men. If possible, so far as it depends on you, be at peace with all men. –
Romans 12:17-18.
How am I reconciling my past? I know that I am no where near being perfect and at
times I can be short-tempered with my children especially when I bring my work
home with me. I make sure that I pull that specific person that I have taken my
anger out on and apolgize to them and let them know that it is nothing they did
wrong and that I should have not yelled at them.
