Integrity is defined as a
concept of consistency of actions, values, methods, measures, principles,
expectations, and outcomes. Our society has those that lack integrity but
it is NOT our job to judge them for that. God is our judge and will look at how
we have lived our life. Our goal should be to live with integrity in all that
we do with the main objective of praising God for the outcome. I learned from
this chapter that it is important to hold true to what God holds us accountable
for by learning from my mistakes, repenting my sin and walking with the
understanding that I am to answer to God for how I lived my life. In the end I
must set the example for my children to follow as a God honoring man.
Scripture: Repent
and return, so that your sins may be wiped away, in order that times of
refreshing may come from the presence of the Lord. – Acts 3:19
How am I living with integrity? To be honest, this is hard for me because I know at
times I am making mistakes that God may not approve of. I can only ask for His forgiveness and work to not make the same mistake again. In the end, I know
that I will have to answer to God for my actions and seek his forgiveness each
day of my earthly life.
