“Why
We Need Men of Resolution”:
In today’s society, children are guided by the influences of
television, movie and music: some do not have a strong father in the home to be
a spiritual leader and guide them down the right path in life. Many see that it
is alright to live in sin because those in roles in influence are not held
accountable for their sins. When children see this they feel it is alright for them
not to be held accountable as well. It is the child that does not have the
strong father figure in the home that finds them filled with sinful acts on a
daily basis. I know from firsthand experience that my father did everything he
could to support of family financially but never supported us spiritually. That
is the foundation that our children need in life; they need that spiritual
leader in their home. Our wives need that spiritual leader in the home; they
deserve it!
Scripture: “Be
strong, and let us show ourselves courageous for the sake of our people and for
the cities of our God; and may the LORD do what is good in His Sight.” (2
Samuel 10:12)
My reasons for doing this: I have
chosen to take this step because my family needs it. I need to be a spiritual
leader that will teach the word of God to my children. I need my children to
trust that God has a plan for them and that they are to do His works to the
best of their abilities. I also need my children to know that they are an
important part of my life and that particular influences within our society our
unacceptable in the eyes of our Lord. I resolve to be the spiritual leader for
my family and to teach my children the word of God on a daily basis.
